Justin M. O'Sullivan

Justin M. O'Sullivan is a prominent researcher in the field of genome organization and epigenetics, currently serving as the Director of The Liggins Institute and Toihuarewa | Professor at The University of Auckland since December 2020. O'Sullivan holds additional roles as Adjunct Principal Investigator at A*STAR Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences, Visiting Scientist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, and Honorary Professor at the University of Southampton. O'Sullivan has also been an Associate Investigator at the Maurice Wilkins Centre and Investigator on the Check Point Study (MCRI) since 2017. Between July 2012 and June 2023, O'Sullivan held several leadership positions at the Liggins Institute, including Deputy Director and Associate Director Research. O'Sullivan obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Otago and a B.Sc. with First Class Honours in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Canterbury.
