Richard Cook

Richard Cook is an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton, where responsibilities have included serving as a Lecturer, New Frontiers Fellow, and Research Fellow since March 2009. Areas of expertise encompass nano mechanical and nano-tribological testing of materials and forensic analysis of implant failure. Prior experience includes a role as a Lecturer in Dental Biomaterials at the University of Otago from November 2006 to March 2009, and completing a PhD in Biomechanics, Osteoporosis, and Osteoarthritis at Cranfield University from 2002 to 2006, where Richard Cook was also a PhD student from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, Richard Cook holds a 2:1 degree in Biomedical Materials Science from the University of Birmingham, completed between 1998 and 2001.
