Tim Chown

Tim Chown is a Network Development Manager at Jisc since January 2016 and has been a Visiting Fellow, Lecturer, and Systems and Networks Manager at the University of Southampton since January 1989. Tim Chown is also Co-Chair of the UK IPv6 Council since September 2014 and served as a Programme Committee Member for UKNOF from January 2014 to February 2024, contributing to the UKNOF community. Additional experience includes serving as a WP Leader for the GÉANT GN4-3 Project from January 2019 to December 2022 and Co-chairing the Scalable DNS-SD Extensions (dnssd) Working Group at IETF from October 2013 to July 2018. Tim Chown holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, obtained between 1985 and 1990.
