Barry Joyce MBE FSA is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in urban design, regeneration, and historic building conservation. Currently serving as a Visiting Fellow at Nottingham Trent University since April 2022, Barry Joyce previously held the position of Conservation and Design Manager at Derbyshire County Council from October 1977 to March 2012, where leadership was provided to a team of environmental specialists. Barry Joyce's academic background includes training as an architect and earning a master's degree in building conservation from Heriot-Watt University, supplemented by studies at North East London Polytechnic and St Edwards C of E Secondary School in Romford, Essex. Since retiring in April 2012, Barry Joyce has continued to contribute to the field as a knowledgeable professional.
