Jernej Barbič

Jernej Barbič is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Southern California, with a career spanning from Assistant Professor in 2009 to current Professor since 2022. Previously served as an Associate Professor from 2015 to 2022. Jernej co-founded Ziva Dynamics, where the role of Chief Technology Officer was held from 2015 to 2021, prior to serving as a Technology Consultant at Unity Technologies following the acquisition of Ziva Dynamics. Additionally, Jernej was a Visiting Professor at Weta Digital and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at MIT in the computer graphics group. Early experience includes a role as a Simulation Software Engineer at Immersion Medical. Education includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Diploma in Mathematics from the University of Ljubljana.
