Sam Gustman

Associate Dean, USC Libraries at University of Southern California

Sam Gustman serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Director of Collections at the USC Shoah Foundation Institute since 1994, overseeing the technology department responsible for the extensive collection and preservation of Holocaust and genocide survivor interviews. Additionally, Sam holds the position of Associate Dean at USC Libraries, managing diverse technological initiatives related to digital resources. With a background that includes co-founding StoryFile and consulting for various prestigious organizations such as Paramount Pictures and TASER International, Sam has a strong track record in digital asset management and technology development, exemplified by multiple patents in speech recognition. Sam holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University.
