Shawn Wagner

Shawn Wagner is a highly experienced professional in the field of chemistry and biomedical imaging, currently serving as the Director of Chemistry Instrumentation Resources at the University of Southern California since November 2022. As Chief Executive Officer of HyperE since April 2015, Wagner leads an R&D technology startup focused on biomedical imaging innovation and disruptive technologies. Wagner's previous roles include Biomedical Research Faculty and Director of Small Animal MRI at Cedars-Sinai, Scientific Consultant for Barrick Gold Corporation, and Research Scientist at HMRI. Additionally, Wagner held positions as MR Physicist at California Institute of Technology and Research Associate at both Kerckhoff-Klinik GmbH and Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research. Wagner earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Chemistry from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
