Timothy Mattison

Timothy Mattison, Ph.D., currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Indiana since July 2023. Previously, Mattison held various leadership roles, including Campus Director at Responsive Education Solutions from December 2021 to July 2023, Director of Policy and Research at the Texas Charter Schools Association from September 2018 to December 2021, and Education Policy Fellow. Additionally, experience includes serving as Assistant Principal at South San Antonio High School and as a K-8 Math Specialist and Instructional Coach at KIPP Texas Public Schools - San Antonio. Early career roles involved teaching and coaching at San Antonio Can Academy and research positions at the Texas Education Agency and USDA Foreign Agricultural Service. Mattison earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio, along with two master's degrees from The University of Texas at Austin in Global Policy Studies and Russian, Eastern European and Eurasian Studies, and a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
