Fiona Margetts Ph.D.

Fiona Margetts PhD, GAICD serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors and Non-Executive Director at Family Day Care Queensland, having held these positions since August 2022. At the University of Southern Queensland, Fiona has worked as an Adjunct Research Fellow since February 2014, focusing on the policy-practice divide in Australian universities, and previously held several senior management roles, including Senior Manager (Planning) and Lead Business Partner (Service Improvement). Fiona also founded and operates a consultancy, fionamargetts.com, offering governance and program solutions. As a member of the Women in Project Management Network with the Australian Institute of Project Management since June 2024, Fiona's extensive experience includes project management at the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency and a variety of roles at the University of Southern Queensland from 2006 to 2012. Educational achievements include a PhD in Higher Education Administration and a Master’s degree in Project Management.
