Jorge Ramos

Adjunct Research Fellow at Charles Sturt University

Jorge Ramos is an experienced sustainability consultant and academic professional with a focus on reforestation, carbon finance, and agroforestry. Since October 2016, Jorge has served as an Adjunct Research Fellow at Charles Sturt University, working on reforestation initiatives in Timor-Leste. As a consultant since 2011, Jorge has designed projects for carbon abatement and livelihood diversification in Cambodia and Timor-Leste, as well as GHG abatement strategies for local governments in Colombia. Previous roles include Forest Resource Planner for the Forest Products Commission in Western Australia and Forest Carbon Specialist at Fauna & Flora International, where responsibilities encompassed forest carbon calculations and feasibility studies. Jorge's educational background includes a PhD candidacy at Charles Sturt University and degrees in Forestry, Environmental Management, and a Bachelor's degree from Universidad del Tolima.
