Lisa Jacka

Lisa Jacka is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in education and technology integration. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Program Director for Initial Teacher Education at the University of Southern Queensland since June 2021, Lisa has previously held senior lecturer and lecturer positions at Southern Cross University and James Cook University. Notable contributions include the redesign of curriculum units incorporating e-learning strategies and emerging pedagogies, as well as mentoring teachers in the use of technology. Lisa's educational qualifications include a PhD in Education from Southern Cross University and a Graduate Diploma in Education from Monash University, complemented by a background in visual arts and media. Lisa's early career as a photojournalist and photographic library researcher laid a strong foundation for innovation in educational practices and curriculum development.
