Paulomi Burey

Paulomi (Polly) Burey serves as a Professor - Level E at the University of Southern Queensland, leading the Research Group in Sustainable Industry Design within the Centre for Future Materials. With extensive experience, Paulomi also holds key leadership roles including Deputy Chair of the University Research Committee, Co-Director of the SIMPLE Hub, and Co-Director of the NO WASTE Pilot Precinct. Previous roles include Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Principal Technical Officer at The University of Queensland. Paulomi has engaged in significant outreach and research projects focused on sustainable practices in agriculture, food science, and waste management. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Food Science from The University of Queensland and ongoing studies for an MBA at Torrens University Australia.
