Laura Pennington Kauffman

Laura Pennington Kauffman, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, serves as the Executive Director of Human Resources Operations at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences since February 2020, where leadership and guidance are provided for over 1,100 diverse faculty and staff in a high-growth environment. Prior to this role, Laura was the Chief Human Resources Officer at TERI Inc from September 2001 to February 2020, overseeing HR for 500 employees across multiple sites in a non-profit organization. Previous experience includes managing HR functions at Envision, focusing on human services for individuals with disabilities, and supporting business operations at ProBATE Software. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Northern Colorado.
