Andreas R. Ziegler

Andreas R. Ziegler currently serves as President of the Swiss Society for International Law (SSDI/SVIR) since 2021 and has been a Full Professor and Chair of Public International Law at the University of Lausanne since 2002. Ziegler also holds the position of President of the International Law Association - Swiss Branch (ILASUISSE) and is a Visiting Professor at ETH Zurich, among various other roles in academic institutions, including the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights. Ziegler's educational background includes multiple advanced degrees in law from the University of St Gallen, along with studies at renowned institutions such as Georgetown University and the European University Institute.
