Dan Sui

Dan Sui is a Professor at the University of Stavanger (UiS) since November 2013, specializing in drilling digitalization and automation, AI-based digital twin development, and control systems. Previously, Dan served as an Associate Professor, focusing on automated drilling and guidance for BSc and MSc theses. dan's prior experience includes roles as a Research Scientist at SINTEF, where responsibilities involved modeling downhole flow and advancing drilling automation, and as a Postdoc at NTNU, specializing in process control and optimization in cybernetics. Additionally, a research fellowship at the National University of Singapore provided expertise in control theory and machine learning. Dan holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, obtained in 2006.
