Susan Wood

Susan Wood is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as University Senior Legal Counsel at the University of Sunderland since March 2019, where responsibilities include providing legal advice to the Senior Leadership Team and leading on legal matters related to research and innovation initiatives. Previously, Susan worked as University Commercial Solicitor at Northumbria University, handling research agreements and construction projects, and as Senior Solicitor at Parkdean Resorts UK Limited, contributing to the success of the largest holiday park operator in the UK. Early legal experience includes roles as Solicitor and Line Manager at Gentoo Group, and at Sherwood-Smith, Tilley & Co., and Freeman Johnson Solicitors, specializing in property and civil litigation. Susan's education includes an LLB (Hons) from Northumbria University and an NVQ Level 3 in Leadership & Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
