Dr Carole Nakhle

Dr. Carole Nakhle serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Crystol Energy since October 2012 and holds the position of President at the Arab Energy Club since January 2025. As an Associate Lecturer at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) since March 2023, Dr. Nakhle contributes to academia alongside roles as an Energy Expert for the Geopolitical Intelligence Service and a Visitor Lecturer at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. Additionally, Dr. Nakhle is an Advisory Board Member at the Payne Institute, Colorado School of Mines and served as a Governing Board Member and member of the Audit and Finance Committee for the Natural Resource Governance Institute since January 2018. Dr. Nakhle's extensive background includes research fellowship and lecturing positions at the Surrey Energy Economics Centre as well as engagement with the Fiscal Affairs Department of the IMF and the Middle East Institute. Dr. Nakhle holds a PhD and MPhil in Energy Economics, an MSc in Financial Services Management, and a BSc in Economics, all from the University of Surrey and Saint Joseph University of Beirut.
