Kate Bailey

Kate Bailey is a seasoned communications professional with significant experience in strategic communications and public engagement. Currently serving as the Head of Strategic Communications at the University of Surrey since April 2014, Kate has also held various key positions within the institution, including Strategic Communications Lead and Public Engagement Manager. Prior to this role, Kate worked at The Prince's Trust from November 2007 to May 2014, where responsibilities included Head of Communications and Head of Partnerships for Marketing, Media and Advertising, both as maternity cover. Earlier career achievements include roles as Public Relations Manager and Officer in both the North and South of England, and Media & Communications Officer at Vifor Pharma from March 2006 to November 2007. Kate holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Multi Media Journalism from Bournemouth University, completed between 2002 and 2005.
