Markys Cain

Markys Cain is the Director and Owner of Electrosciences Ltd, established in August 2008, specializing in functional materials, nanotechnology, materials characterization, and energy-related materials. In addition to leading Electrosciences, Markys serves as an Honorary Academic Associate in the Physics Department at the University of Liverpool since May 2022, collaborating on the XMaS beamline project. A Visiting Scientist at the University of Surrey since 2010 and a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University of London since May 2021, Markys has extensive experience in multifunctional materials. Previous roles include Director and Vice President at the Piezo Institute, Science Leader for Functional Materials at the National Physical Laboratory, and Research Scientist at the University of Warwick and the University of California, Santa Barbara. Markys holds a PhD and BSc in Physics from the University of Warwick.
