Peter Bryant

Peter Bryant is an experienced professional in the fields of nuclear safety, radiation protection, and environmental governance. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at the World Nuclear Transport Institute since March 2025, Peter leads the organization in representing its members' interests on a global scale. Concurrently, Peter has been an Associate Tutor at the University of Surrey since February 2017, teaching on MSc programs related to radiation and environmental protection. Prior roles include Director of ESG & Radiation Strategy at EDF (UK), where responsibilities encompassed strategy implementation for Sizewell C Project's environmental and governance commitments, and various leadership positions at the Society for Radiological Protection, culminating as Immediate Past President. With an extensive educational background including a PhD in Engineering Physics from the University of Surrey, Peter's expertise encompasses regulatory compliance, decommissioning strategy, and developing nuclear capabilities across multiple organizations.
