Prof Mohammad Zoualfaghari

Prof Mohammad Zoualfaghari is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as the Global Technology Lead at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Telecom since July 2021, Prof Zoualfaghari drives successful telecom initiatives with Tier 1 operators and collaborates with business and technology executives to harness 5G technology. In addition, Prof Zoualfaghari holds the position of Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey, facilitating industry and academic partnerships. Previously, roles included Chief Technology Officer at The Mathematical Games Company Limited, Research Manager at BT, and Development Lead at Meal2Go Ltd. Prof Zoualfaghari also served as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Birmingham, where lectures focused on various engineering disciplines. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in co-channel interference reduction and a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, both from the University of Birmingham.
