Zoe Boylan

Zoe Boylan (nee Backholer) is a Senior Research Manager at the Brighton and Sussex Joint Clinical Research Office since July 2019, overseeing an initiative that integrates clinical research management between two universities and two NHS Trusts. Additionally, since January 2021, Zoe has worked as a Humanistic Counsellor at Illuminate Counselling Brighton and has served as a Psychological Therapist with the NHS. From September 2011 to February 2019, Zoe worked at Cancer Research UK as a Clinical Study Manager and Macmillan Counsellor, managing Phase 1 & 2 clinical trials and leading study management teams. Prior to this, a Clinical Study Manager at F Hoffmann La Roche Ltd focused on early phase studies. Zoe holds an MSc in Research Psychology from the University of Reading and is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
