Kate Darian-Smith

Kate Darian-Smith serves as the Executive Dean and Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College of Arts, Law and Education at the University of Tasmania since January 2018. Prior to this role, Kate held the position of Professor at the University of Melbourne from January 2000 to December 2017, specializing in History within the Faculty of Arts and Cultural Heritage in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning. Kate Darian-Smith holds a BA (Hons), DipEd, and PhD in History from the University of Melbourne and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
