Tyson Wienker

Tyson Wienker serves as the Executive Director of Digital & Emerging Technology and Head of School ICT at the University of Tasmania, overseeing a team of over 30 staff and more than 1,600 students while developing strategic initiatives. Additionally, Tyson is the Director of Digital Futures, responsible for enhancing digital literacy across approximately 28,000 students and 3,000 staff in Australia. Tyson holds various board positions, including Board Member at Dreamlab Technologies and the Tasmanian University Student Association, where Tyson chairs the Finance Risk and Audit Committee. Tyson has an extensive background in business leadership, having served as Managing Director for LexisNexis Greater China and North Asia, with significant P&L responsibilities in multiple regions. Tyson's educational achievements include a Master's degree in Marine and Antarctic Studies from the University of Tasmania and an MBA in Strategic Management from AGSM @ UNSW Business School, among others.
