James F. Parker

James F. Parker, Jr. has extensive experience in music education and performance, having served as Site Coordinator, Stage Manager, and Drumline Instructor at the University of the District of Columbia since 1985. Parker has been an instructor and performer in Classical & Marching Percussion since 1976, providing percussion instruction at various educational institutions, including Columbia Heights Educational Campus and Rose L. Hardy Middle School. Additionally, Parker is a member of the Washington NFL Team Drumline and judges drumline competitions, while also conducting research on the effects of arts education through the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Parker holds a High School Diploma from Calvin Coolidge Senior High School and an Associate of Arts in Music Education from the University of the District of Columbia.
