James Mandigo has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of education. James started at Brock University in 2000, where they held various roles including Vice Provost, Professor, Interim Dean, Associate Dean, and Co-Director. In 2019, they joined the University of the Fraser Valley as Vice President & Provost, and later served as Acting President & Vice-Chancellor from 2022 to 2024.
James Mandigo completed their education with a High School Diploma from Saugeen District Secondary School in 1990. James then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University from 1990 to 1994. Following that, they obtained a Master's degree in Child Development from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne between 1994 and 1996. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Education at the University of Alberta from 1996 to 2001.
