Dr. Julia Christensen Hughes

Dr. Julia Christensen Hughes serves as President and Vice-Chancellor at Yorkville University, leading initiatives to transform postsecondary education through innovative, purpose-driven learning. Recognized as Professor Emerita at the University of Guelph, Dr. Christensen Hughes has contributed significantly to advancing ethical leadership and academic integrity in higher education. Engagement in various organizations includes membership in the Rankings, Ratings & Assessments Taskforce for the UN Higher Education Sustainability Initiative and serving on the Supervisory Board of Positive Impact Rating. Dr. Christensen Hughes' extensive academic career encompasses roles from Assistant Professor to Full Professor, culminating in serving as the Founding Dean of the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph.
