Maria Criselda Gatchalian-Badilla

Maria Criselda Gatchalian-Badilla, Ph.D, is a distinguished academic and professional with extensive experience in the field of communication and organizational management. Since June 2008, Maria has served as the Director of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines. In addition, Maria has been the Managing Director of Pirouettes, Incorporated (DANCE Plus) since January 2002. Maria's earlier roles at the University of the Philippines included Lecturer from June 1994 to March 2008. Other notable positions include General Manager and Marketing Manager at FLAME Ministries, Incorporated, and Marketing Head at Couples for Christ Global Missions Foundation. Maria also held the position of Assistant Marketing Manager at PCI Leasing and Finance and Sales Director at The Sulo Hotel. Academically, Maria earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication (2018), a Master of Arts in Communication (2009), and a Bachelor of Science in Tourism (Cum Laude, 1992), all from the University of the Philippines, along with graduating with High Honors from St. Mary's College, Quezon City.
