Joe Merrill

Joe Merrill serves as CEO of OpenTeams, driving innovation in the Open SaaS era by connecting tech talent worldwide. As a General Partner at SputnikATX since 2014, Joe invests in visionary founders through an accelerator program. Additional roles include Board Member positions at Mod Tech Labs and Saveday, contributions as a Trustee at the University of the Potomac, and prior consulting at Teza Technologies. Joe’s experience also includes serving on the Board of Directors for The STEM Academy, and holding trustee positions at the London College of International Business Studies. Joe co-founded SmartFunded, Inc. and Pan Am Education, the latter being sold to the Pivotal Group. Joe holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA from the University of California, Davis.
