Dimity Adams serves as a Senior Research Fellow and Project Lead for the Strong & Solid Spirit: Community & Accountability Program at the University of the Sunshine Coast since January 2020, focusing on a treatment program for First Nations Men who have committed sexual offences. In addition, Dimity has been a trainer with Parents Under Pressure since September 2018, supporting practitioners in engaging with high-risk families. Dimity maintains a private psychology practice and previously held various roles at Griffith University, including Project Leader of the Griffith Neighbourhoods Project, Clinical Consultant for Child Safe Organisations, and Senior Clinician with the Griffith Youth Forensic Service. Dimity's earlier career includes positions as a Youth Justice Court Officer and Youth Justice Caseworker. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychological Science from The University of Queensland and a Masters of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from Charles Sturt University, along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Mental Health and Wellbeing from the University of Southern Queensland.
