Kate Williams

Associate Dean Of Research, School Of Education And Tertiary Access at University of the Sunshine Coast

Kate Williams currently serves as the Associate Dean of Research and Professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast, focusing on the Future of Education and Work. In addition, Kate is the Chair of the Board of Directors for Play Matters Australia and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where Kate has held multiple roles including Inaugural Academic Lead (Engagement) in the School of Early Childhood & Inclusive Education. Kate founded and leads Rhythm and Movement for Self Regulation (RAMSR) and previously served as Executive Director of Operations at Play Matters Australia. As the inaugural lead of the QUT Centre for Child & Family Studies, Kate oversaw a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and families. With an extensive academic background, Kate holds a PhD in Child Development and Parenting, along with several degrees from QUT and the University of Queensland.
