Daniel Fogel

Daniel Fogel possesses extensive academic leadership experience, currently serving as Professor and former President at the University of Vermont since July 2002. Fogel has overseen significant growth in undergraduate applications, from 9,776 in 2002 to over 22,000 in 2011, alongside the establishment of the Honors College and various research centers. Previously, Fogel held the positions of Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost at Louisiana State University, and Vice Provost and Graduate Dean, contributing to the university's academic operations and budget management. Fogel's educational background includes a B.A., M.F.A. in creative writing, and a PhD in English and American Literature and Creative Writing from Cornell University.
