David Warshaw

David Warshaw is a University Distinguished Professor at the University of Vermont, focusing on genetic cardiac and skeletal muscle diseases and intracellular cargo transport since July 1996. David serves as Chair of the Cardiovascular Research Institute of Vermont, a position held since July 2013. David's academic career includes roles as a Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont from November 1983 to June 1995, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UMass Chan Medical School and Aarhus University, with a focus on smooth muscle physiology. David earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University.
