Dr. Matthew S. McCluskey

Dr. Matthew S. McCluskey serves as an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at the University of Vermont since August 2023, following a tenure-track position at Texas A&M University-San Antonio from September 2021 to August 2023. Prior experience includes leadership roles at North Star Academy Charter School of Newark, where responsibilities included Assistant Principal of Curriculum & Instruction and English Department Chair from August 2011 to June 2019. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Boston College Lynch School, a Hollyhock Fellowship in Teacher Leadership from Stanford University Graduate School of Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a focus on English from Boston College, and study at the University of Cape Town.
