Karen Dillon

Karen Dillon is an accomplished professional in strategic communications and filmmaking, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Communications for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Vermont since December 2023. With extensive experience in the arts sector, Karen has held leadership roles such as Executive Director and Director of Development at the Chandler Center for the Arts and the Green Mountain Film Festival, focusing on fundraising and community events. As a filmmaker, Karen has been with Barking Moss since 2021, contributing as a writer, director, and producer. Academic experience includes positions as Faculty at Higher Colleges of Technology and The Art Institutes of Kansas City. Karen holds an MFA in Screenwriting/Directing/Producing from Columbia University and a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts.
