Chris Hulleman

Chris Hulleman is a distinguished Professor of Education and Public Policy at the University of Virginia, where involvement spans from July 2012 to the present. Additionally, Chris serves as a Fellow at the John N. Gardner Institute and as the Director and CEO of Motivate Lab, established in July 2015, leading efforts in motivation research to enhance lives through practical applications. Previous roles include Directorship at James Madison University and Assistant Professorship at Vanderbilt University, alongside diverse positions in educational settings and social work. Chris Hulleman earned a PhD in Experimental Social and Personality Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, complemented by a Master’s degree and a postgraduate diploma in psychology from The University of Western Australia. Educational history also includes a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Central College.
