Daniel McCarter

Daniel McCarter, MD FAAFP, currently serves as a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia, a position held since September 2024. Prior to this, Daniel was the National Director of Primary Care Advancement at ChenMed, focusing on enhancing primary care talent and educating residents about value-based care. Daniel's extensive experience at the University of Virginia includes roles such as Associate Professor of Family Medicine, Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs, and Medical Director for various primary care initiatives. Daniel holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed a Family Medicine residency at the same institution, complemented by a fellowship in Health Care Leadership from The Advisory Board Company.
