Karthik Bhargav

Karthik Bhargav is currently an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Virginia, working on APMA 3080 (Linear Algebra) and APMA 3150 (Data to Knowledge) since January 2024. Karthik has gained practical experience as a Software Engineer Intern at the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) in June 2024 and previously served as Vice President and Director of Software at Start on AI from April 2020 to January 2023. In this role, Karthik led the development of Cerbo, a high-level machine learning and deep learning API, co-authored a book on machine learning applications, and contributed to educational content in collaboration with various organizations. Karthik's prior internships also include roles as a Software Engineer Intern at BAM.Money Inc. and as a Web Development Intern at APEX. Karthik holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Virginia, expected in May 2026, and completed a High School Diploma in Computer Science from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in June 2023.
