Kathy Baker

Kathy Baker is the current Chief Nursing Officer at the University of Virginia. Kathy has over twenty years of experience in nursing, including previous positions as Nursing Director Resource Management and Emergency Services at VCU Health, and Nursing Director at VCU Health System. Kathy has a wealth of knowledge in managing nursing resources and emergency services, and has been instrumental in developing both programs at VCU Health.

Kathy Baker's educational career includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing, as well as a PhD in Nursing with a focus on Patient Safety and Nursing Administration.

They work with Veronica Brill - Interim Chief Nursing Officer, Robin Parkin - Chief Information and Technology Officer, and Mary Frances Southerland - Chief Administrative Officer, UVA Health. Kathy Baker reports to Craig Kent, Executive Vice President, Health Affairs & CEO, UVA Health.
