Madhur Behl

Madhur Behl is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Virginia since August 2017, and previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Computer Science and Systems and Information Engineering. Madhur co-founded Expresso Logic, LLC, which focuses on data intelligence and recommendation systems for buildings and electricity grid operators to optimize electricity demand response. Madhur earned a PhD in Electrical and Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where involvement included the Real Time and Embedded Systems Lab and the Energy-Efficient Buildings Hub supported by the Department of Energy. Prior experiences include a research internship at Honeywell, a guest researcher position at ETH Zurich, and a summer internship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Academic qualifications include a B.E. in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.
