David Davies is a Professor at the University of Warwick, serving as the Deputy Chair of Faculty for External Relations in the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Medicine since September 2006. In this role, David represents the Faculty's international agenda in education, research, partnerships, and alumni engagement. Additionally, since August 2021, David has been the Director of Warwick in Africa, a philanthropic initiative aimed at enhancing English and Mathematics teaching in partner schools across Ghana, South Africa, and Tanzania through student volunteering and peer-led teacher training. Prior to his current roles, David held positions as a Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at the University of Birmingham from 1997 to 2006, specializing in Medical Education and E-learning, and Physiology and E-Learning, respectively. David earned a PhD in Physiology and a degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology & Comparative Physiology) from the University of Birmingham.
