Rosie Drinkwater

Group Finance Director at University of Warwick

Rosie Drinkwater is the University’s Group Finance Director. She leads the Finance and Estates Group at Warwick, with a particular focus on strategy and strategic projects. She is responsible for overseeing all financial and land and property arrangements including student accommodation , reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and President. She is supported by her senior leadership teams in estates and finance to whom routine management and operational matters are delegated. Rosie is a member of the Executive Board and is responsible, alongside the Board, for the renewal and implementation of the University Strategy. She is a director of all of the University’s subsidiary companies.

Rosie first came to Warwick in October 1993. She was appointed as Senior Assistant Finance Officer with specific responsibility for the University's Earned Income Group. Before that she worked at senior manager level at the accountancy firms Grant Thornton and Price Waterhouse, specialising in advising family-owned businesses, SMEs and professional partnerships.

Rosie is a graduate of St Mary's College, Durham (Mathematics and Economics) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. She currently serves on the Audit and Risk Committee of Coventry City of Culture Trust and is a Trustee of the WMG academy for young engineers where she chairs the Finance committee.
