David Zeeck

David Zeeck serves as the Chair of the Board of Regents at the University of Washington since January 2018. Prior to this role, David held significant positions in the media industry, including President and Publisher of Western Washington Media at McClatchy from July 2008 to January 2019, and Executive Editor at The News Tribune from June 1994 to July 2008. David's journalism career began at The Kansas City Star, where responsibilities included Managing Editor, Executive Editor, City Editor, and Reporter for a variety of beats, encompassing police, city hall, politics, medicine, and neighborhood redevelopment from January 1974 to June 1994. Educationally, David holds an MBA in general management from Rockhurst University and a degree in news-editorial journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, alongside studies at The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Tech University.
