Clete Beard

Clete Beard is the interim VP of financial affairs at the University of West Alabama. Prior to their current role, they served as the market president at Investar Bank from November 2019 to September 2021. Before that, they were the CEO of Bank of York from January 2012 to October 2019. Earlier in their career, they were the director of franchise development at Vital Care, Inc. from November 2003 to February 2012.

Clete Beard's educational career began with him attending the Alabama Banking School. Clete then went on to The University of Alabama where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management. After working for a few years, they decided to further their education and attended the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Finally, they completed their education with an MBA from The University of West Alabama.
