Melissa Haab is the current Vice President of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at the University of West Alabama. Melissa has over 20 years of experience in higher education, specializing in enrollment management.
Haab began their career in 1998 as the Director of Admissions at Emporia State University. In 2000, they became the Director of Admissions at the University of South Alabama, a position they held for seven years. In 2007, they left USA to become Dean of Students at Alabama Southern Community College. Melissa served in that role for nine years before being promoted to Dean of Enrollment Management at Coastal Alabama Community College in 2017. Haab held that position for less than a year before returning to ICC as Vice President of Enrollment Services in July 2018.
Melissa Haab has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Mississippi State University. Melissa also has a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from Mississippi State University. Melissa is currently working on their Doctor of Philosophy in Educational/Instructional Media Design at the University of South Alabama.
Melissa Haab reports to Ken Tucker, President. They are on a team with Clete Beard - Interim VP, Financial Affairs, Richard Schellhammer - Associate Dean, College of Liberal Arts, and Donnie Cobb - Chair, Division of Engineering Technology.
