Betsy Bowers

Betsy Bowers is the Vice President for Finance and Administration at University of West Florida. Betsy has over 25 years of experience in auditing and accounting. Betsy began their career as an Internal Auditor at East Tennessee State University from July 1982 to January 1992. Betsy then became the Director of Internal Auditing at Northeast State Technical Community College from February 1992 to June 1993. In January 1993, they joined SUAC, a state university audit council for Florida public higher education chief audit executives, and served as a member until August 2018. From January 2010 to December 2013, they served as Chapter Advisor for Delta Sigma Pi-Eta Upsilon chapter. Betsy is also a member of Toastmasters Ellyson Park and the Association of College & University Auditors.

Betsy Bowers graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration from the same school. Betsy is also a Certified Internal Auditor, having received their certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.

They work with Kim M. Leduff - Vice President for Academic Engagement and Student Affairs, Pamela Langham - General Counsel, and Megan Gonzalez - Executive Director of Institutional Communications. Their manager is Martha D. Saunders, President.
