Kurt McMillen

Kurt McMillen currently serves as Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Research Administration and Director of Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a position held since July 2010. Responsibilities encompass oversight of RSP, including budget management, personnel supervision, compliance, and the development of policies and procedures for a diverse portfolio of grants and contracts. In addition to this role, Kurt has led various strategic initiatives, including Operational Readiness and Data & Reporting Strategy within the Administrative Transformation Program, aimed at enhancing institutional infrastructure. Prior experience includes roles in grant and contract management at the Air National Guard, contracting experience, and leadership positions in both the Army National Guard and Associated Bank. Kurt holds an MBA in Management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a BS in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
