Maheep Bhatt

Maheep Bhatt is a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on fault-tolerant Current Source Inverters for traction drive applications using widebandgap devices. Previously, Maheep served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and worked as an Inverter System Design Engineer Student at Magna International, contributing to the design and testing of voltage source inverters for electric traction drives. With experience as a Senior Advisor and Department Lead at Team Saksham International, Maheep developed data acquisition setups and mentored junior engineers. Maheep's internship at Siemens involved working with components such as AFTC and signal interlocking systems for Indian Railways. Maheep holds a Bachelor of Technology from Vellore Institute of Technology, a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the same institution, expected to complete in May 2027.
