R. Kent Wenger

R. Kent Wenger is a semi-retired biomedical researcher currently affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison since July 2021. Prior to this, Wenger had a diverse career that included serving as a bioinformatics researcher at the UW-Madison School of Public Health from September 2018 to March 2021, where work focused on developing software for mass spectra processing and metabolomics. Wenger's experience encompasses roles as a senior software engineer at DNASTAR and extensive research positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, including development of the DEVise project. Other notable experiences include software engineering positions at Extrel FTMS and Nicolet Instrument Corp., complemented by short sabbaticals dedicated to personal reflection and travel. Wenger holds a BS in computer sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
