John Chenoweth

Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at University of Wisconsin - Whitewater

Dr. John Chenoweth currently serves as the Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at UW-Whitewater, the largest comprehensive state university in the University of Wisconsin System with a main campus in Whitewater and a branch campus in Janesville, Wisconsin. UW-Whitewater offers 50 undergraduate degree areas, 13 masters programs, and one professional doctorate in business administration.

Chenoweth previously served UW - Whitewater as the Dean of the College of Business and Economics He has been at UW-Whitewater since 2002 and served as a tenured faculty member in the Information Technology and Supply Chain Management Department, a department chair and associate dean. He also served roles as the interim director for the Center for Global Education and was a Faculty Athletic Representative to the NCAA.

He received his Ed.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis from East Tennessee State University, a master’s degree in computer science from the University of South Dakota and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD.

John has served on the Whitewater University Technology Park Board and the Whitewater Unified School District Board. He currently serves on the school district’s Citizen’s Financial Advisory Committee.
